Dr. Mara De La Vega is a leading expert in the in Aesthetic field, and is known to tailor her treatments to fit each of her clients needs. Dr. De La Vega expertise is is cosmetic fillers/injectables, laser resurfacing, body image/contouring, Mesotherapy, and acne/cellulite treatments, PRP. Dr. De La Vega uses several pioneering techniques from Europe and South America including Carboxy Therapy and Mesotherapy in combination with lasers and vacuum therapy to treat different forms of cellulite. Over the years, she has developed her own skin care regimen, specifically customized to clarify and maintain all skin types. Dr. Mara De La Vega’s skin care regimen has been both successful, and has proven its effectiveness over the years to her patients. Dr. De La Vega is also a respected speaker on several topics related to women’s health, including menopause, body image, proper diets, and cellulite management. She frequently holds seminars on preventive medicine for pre-menopausal and menopausal women with special interests in bio-identical hormone replacement for her female patients. She underwent extensive training in Anti-aging in Paris, France. Dr. De La Vega has dedicated part of her career studying the application of stem cells to cosmetic procedures. After training in different hospitals of Berlin in general and orthopedic surgery he graduated in general surgery. Thereafter he went to specialized training in Berlin and Hannover University to become both a German and European board certified Plastic Surgeon. 1998 he became head physician of the newly founded Dept. of Plastic Surgery, Asklepios Klinik Birkenwerder/ Berlin. Since 2007 he developed the BEAULI method of mega volume fat graft especially for breast reconstruction and augmentation. 1/2012 he founded with two colleagues his own private hospital of Plastic Surgery, the Park-Klinik Birkenwerder/ Berlin, which he is leading now. He completed his medical degree at the University of Cape Town Medical School (MBChB) in South Africa. He then qualified as a surgeon at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed.) and specialized further as a Plastic Surgeon in Edinburgh, Norwich and Germany (Facharzt). At the University of Cologne he achieved the highest honors for his MD thesis (summa cum laude) on a topic concerning wound healing. He also holds a specialist certificate in medical laser treatments and hand surgery.
